I need me I need you!

I need to run away from the sunshine I need to hide
I need some sleep I need peace
I need love

I need me I need you.

I need to feel I need to live
I need to smile I need to be free
I need to be high I need to be low
I need to go I need to stay
I need some day I need a night
I need dark I need Light
I need to lose I need to win
I need to heal I need pain
I need love

I need me I need you.

London asks Facebook to provide a Panic button!

There's been lot of misuse of popular social Networking sites like Facebook, Orkut, Myspace etc and the same is the case with the numerous public forums. The misuse that I'm particularly talking about here today are those of stalking, rapes, kidnapping, deaths and what not but what I'm not able to understand is that how these sites become the target of making changes implementing things like "PANIC BUTTON". These sites were designed for people to connect and they serve the pupose well however, like everywhere else these sites are not sanitizied of the bad people who go to these sites with only bad motives like raping an innocent girl etc.

So, I argue on the fact that these sites are responsible for all these social crap happening around us, neither do I agree that these make it simple for criminals, sociopaths, paedophiles etc to find their victims because if not on these sites such people will find these innocent souls in local pubs, bus stands, subways, metros, streets, city parks etc. The fact that we need to correct people and the way think cannot be done all the time by having a PANIC BUTTON to everything, you can't do that much policing (or may be you can if you have everyone joined the police force) but what you certainly can is save yourselves by not getting into all those sorts of discussions which lead to an un-acceptable circumstance. Can we have a PANIC BUTTON to a marriage where a man/woman are not what we expected them to be? Can we have a PANIC BUTTON in the bus in which we travel everyday? Can we have a PANIC BUTTON at the traffic signal where a chain snatcher awaits? No, we can't but what it requires is awareness, sense of responsibility and not some swanky version of Distress numbers like 911. These sites already offer the choice of blocking a person or if you feel so afraid you can simply opt out of the website and the first level of defense is to never share your personal details that can be from your photographs to your birth date.

So, I will rest my case of I can go on arguing on it that we DON'T need another PANIC BUTTON help people become aware of steps to ensure their safety first rather than finding unneccesary troubles for the police or the CSI teams. There're lot of bad guys out there stop them but do what you do best don't just put your feet in all the boats 'cos you've got only two.

Happy Happy Day

Boring day, boring day,

where have you come?

Go away, go away,

let me have fun.

I want to see my friends,

I want to party all day,

I want to wear new trends,

I want to yell Hurray!!

Boring day boring day,

please go away,

send your brother,

mr. happy fun day.

W'come W'com Happy fun day,

take me to the skies so blue,

take me to my family who are so far away,

I will surprise them without a clue.

Come Happy fun day,

together lets sing, lets dance,

you don't come so often,

to give me another chance.

boring day has gone,

gone too far away,
I feel so chirpy, so free like a new born,

what a happy day!

I'm alone here,

no friends no one dear,

but still I feel the breeze of cheer,

as if y'all are by my side so very near.

I love this feeling of joy,

I love this morning,

no what's and no why,

a happy day it is.

Boring day please be far away,

I need to live my happy happy day.

Today wasn't really a happy day but I felt like asking for one and out came this small poem.

Chat-roulette

I've to admit that I did check this new chat engine on the Internet to curb down my curiosity and the findings were not so "happy faced". It was amazing to see almost 15-20 different people from different parts of the world and then try to strike a conversation with them but most people I met there were not so curious about another person they were looking for sexual pleasures and it makes me sick to my stomach. C'mon guys! Isn't there enough porn already available on Internet, book stands etc that now you need just one more website to help you with your disgusting ideas.

I went online on this website with a thought that I'll meet people from different parts of the world who look different, who may even speak a language that's beyond my comprehension but all this ended up in a scenario where Yes! I met different people but almost all of them (barring one girl And an elderly guy) were all looking for god knows what but they were involved in such acts that for the reason of maintaining decency I cannot explain here. The conversations I had with this girl from Atlanta, GA, USA and the elderly guy from Bordeaux, France were nice, though both these conversation were short lived like 5-6 minutes each but we talked about places, parts of the world we've been to, places where we'd like to visit and we told each other about ourselves like where we are from and why we were there online on Chat-roulette.

It's a fun site only if used for those purposes otherwise just like many other websites it can only be considered as waste.

Yet another reservation another Quota!

I've to say this and I say it loud and clear...as a responsible citizen of India, I DO NOT support the Women's Reservation Bill. There are many reasons I can quote for my anger on this bill let me share them with you. I just want to share and express what I think to accept it or not it's upto you, because you are free to make your own opinion (I know I don't have to remind you of this.)

So, here are the reasons:

1. Indian Woman is NOT weak : We were once under the infamous British Raj and together we fought both men and women to gain th Highly precious and dear to us all, the Freedom. Those days are gone now, when everyone felt empowered, when there was zeal to get free and throw away the British government, now we all want is to make ourselves feel weak so weak that our mind stops believing in ourselves. Indian woman has had (and a very few still have) the worst times from crimes like female fetal homicide and many more but those crimes to women were not done by men alone there were women accomplices too, however, we tend to ignore that fact because we want the women of our nation feel they are weak, they need someone to guard them, a helping hand and what not. But I think that women are no less than men they can do everything that men can do and as the history stands to testimony this is a true statement I can go on quoting examples of Rani Laxmi bai, Sarojini Naidu, Kiran Bedi, Our President Smt. Pratibha Patil, congress chief Sonia Gandhi, Mayawati, Mamta Banerjee etc etc the count is huge, so when they can do it why can't others? Our Constitution doesn't stop them from contesting in any government jobs or for that matter any private jobs or works. why do they have to have a reservation when Women of this great nation are already empowered with equal opportunity and are not weak in any sense.

2. You cannot win if you start begging: Some strong words there I know and I can tell how they are true, but I have a Question to ask first What is the intent of this bill? Is there any timeline till which it will be in force and then we'll drop it? Who will measure the success of this bill? Having asked those questions hope I get answer to them, I want to quote the example of existing QUOTA for SC/ST/OBC who are these people called SC/ST/OBC? aren't they citizen of India? don't they have right to breathe as much air, have as much water as a person from so called General class? Yes, they have the right and they enjoy their freedom but still they want the reservation, if that's not begging what is it? I promote equality and it can not be achieved if we continue on making favors to one section of society and then other We are only promoting DIVISON of Society and not equality. The plan to have quotas as proposed by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was for intial 3-4 five year plans under a constant supervision and monitoring but it's still going on after almost 7 decades since we got independence. If woman of India HAS always been weak and so is today then WHY was the BILL never proposed from the begining i.e. in 1947? because we believed that we will promote a free society with equality and everyone will have the right to fair contest but now we are down with the habit of begging, we need quotas/reservations for everything.

3. If not Reservation Bill then what?: That's the question I think we all should be asking rather than asking (begging) for quotas. Let's start small how about

(A) mandate on every family where a girl is born to give her education by sending her to schools (govt. already has programs to support child education especially for girls) so that she can start learning things and plan for her future and become independent.

Another scenario that I can suggest but I'm afraid of it's misuse is (B) giving financial support like cheaper loans, cheaper education for like next 5 years or may be 10 and then observe/measure the growth if nothing substantial is achieved that doesn't mean to continue if or another decade instead take a breath and think/analyze how much success did we achieve and what can be the next best thing to do with the on-going technology advancement, societal changes etc.

(D) Law Enforcement: People should Strongly oppose any kind of bills of such nature being presented in Parliament instead spread the conscious message of equality that any sort/nature of discrimination based on sex will be dealt with the harshest of consequences.

4. Global Image and Learnings from across the Globe: The moment I think of this bill I get this sense that we are telling the world that Indian woman is the weakest of all and Indian society still believe in 'purdaah' we won't let our mother's and sisters live the free air and neither we promote their growth. All these thoughts make me question: What do we learn from other Nations acrss the globe?

Their rise should be a battle they win instead of someone's help to begin,

'cos the fire that melts the iron makes it strong too.

Support women to make them Strong and not weak,

they can roar like lioness of jungle but let them speak.

let them march along to the highest peak,

be the helping hand only when they need.

Long time but more to come.

It's been a long long time since I posted something on this wall (aah! Facebook is catching up on me). I've been doing some thing all these months I've been away and thanks to this beautiful world I got plenty to share from what's been with me to what's it that world means to me. I've met many beautiful people and they taught me a lot about life I saw I learned from them but am I going to apply those learnings? no, not 100% of them but yeah a few of them because I learned what I should not be doing (and I think I still don't do any of those) and I learned what I must be doing...so here I am out in the open pouring my thoughts on everything and nothing at all.

"Tell the world what your heart has to say,

don't worry if they don't listen,

the voice, the thoughts are here to stay,

you'll be missed someday someday!"
